This week we are meeting Georgie Sowman and Varun Anand, they are both Medic PACCs. Georgie is a GP based in the North-East and is co-founder Healthcare Ocean. Varun is GP based in Yorkshire with a special interest in Weight Management and Lifestyle Medicine.
This week we are meeting Jan Sinclair, who is the Lead Nurse PACC and is based in the North West. Jan is a Senior Public Health Nurse. Jan’s NHS role focuses on lifestyle behaviours for patients, the PACC role complimented the work that she was already doing with the added physical activity benefits.
Dane Vishnubala is the lead Medic PACC and programme director for Sport and Exercise Medicine Specialist Training for Yorkshire and Humber. Dane is a dual-trained doctor, initially completing training in York as a GP before entering specialist training in sport and exercise medicine in Yorkshire. He has an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine and postgraduate qualifications in Medical Education.
This month we welcomed our first two place based PACCs, Emma Tucker who is a Physiotherapist in Oxfordshire and Dr Jo Maher who is a GP in Sheffield. We are also pleased to welcome Sarah Glover to our team as the new PACC Relationship Manager!
